Interior Design: Let there be Light

I love houses that have lots and lots of big windows and light. It just makes me very calm. If the house has a lot of calming colors like light grey,then that's a big plus. I remember when I saw my now home, the dinning area was red and the first mental note I made was the repaint the whole house.. there was no way I was having a red dining area. I know...very nit picky. I saw this house on one of the interior design portfolios I like to keep my eye on and I fell in love with the space and the lighting. Look at all that natural light..

Interior Design: Bette Midler's FeminineTriplex in Manhattan

I love when condos/apartments/penthouses have a homey feeling and Bette's definitely does. You would think you were at a country house but it's in Manhattan, New York. What do you think ? Doesn't it feel homey to you ? I wouldn't be afraid to touch anything :) And look at that gorgeous library!!
